22 Weeks

 

How far along? 22 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 8 lb gain
Maternity clothes? Yup. Still wearing one of my 3 pairs of Jessica Simpson Skinny maternity jeans daily. I've also discovered a newfound love for maternity leggings that I have been wearing for workouts and loungewear! 
Stretch marks? None yet.. fingers crossed it stays that way!
Sleep: I've been sick with a cold this week so sleep hasn't been the greatest and Nick is starting to get annoyed with the additional pillows I surround myself with each night.  
Best moment this week: Making final decisions on nursery furniture! We have narrowed it down to 2 cribs and 2 dressers and will be making our final decision tomorrow. Think we're pretty sure what we're going with!
Miss Anything? Caffeine still. I got my favorite sushi the other night, they cooked the salmon for me! It was amazing! Thinking about it is making me crave more right now!
Movement: She is moving quite a bit lately! It never gets old. It's such an amazing feeling! Last week, when I was slacking on my updates, she was kicking in the perfect place that you could see the movement pretty clearly. It was really cool!
Food cravings: Pretzels with cheese & now sushi.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I'm not sure if  I am just sick or if morning sickness is returning :(!
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy but I must admit I have my mood swings here and there.
Looking forward to:  Making the final decision on the crib tomorrow! & of course holding my sweet baby girl for the first time in a short 18 weeks! 

20 Weeks ~ Halfway to Meeting Our Baby Girl!

 

 

 

How far along? 20 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 5 lbs gained
Maternity clothes? Yup. Been rocking my favorite Jessica Simpson Skinny maternity jeans since about week 9. Still wearing some of my pre pregnancy shirts and some maternity shirts.
Stretch marks? None yet.. fingers crossed it stays that way!
Sleep: Starting to get uncomfortable. I freak out every time I wake up on my back so I started sleeping with an extra pillow behind my back. 
Best moment this week: Getting to hear baby girl's heartbeat at our 20 week appointment and hearing that everything looked good at our anatomy scan !
Miss Anything? Sushi and caffeine
Movement: Some days she goes crazy and others I get nervous because she hardly moves. She likes music though! She was dancing around like crazy when we went to see Annie last weekend and again when we were watching (old episodes) of The Voice.
Food cravings: Was craving a burger all week! I was ecstatic when my mom offered me her leftover burger from hop jacks. It was an amazing late night snack.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Brushing my tongue is still making me gag but feeling good besides that!

Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy! I can't help but smile all the time!
Looking forward to:  Deciding on pieces for baby girl's nursery & of course meeting her in 20 weeks! 

It's a girl!

 

After 2 ultrasounds with 2 different techs we finally feel confident enough to announce we're having a baby GIRL!

 

We are so excited!

It is a dream come true!

 

My mom and I celebrated the news by going on a little shopping spree!

We hit most of the stores that carry baby clothes and started to build baby girls wardrobe!

 

18 weeks & New Years in NOLA

 

We just got back from baby's first vacation!

We went on a Caribbean cruise to Jamaica, Cozumel, and Grand Caymen.

We had a wonderful time!

Our cruise embarked from New Orleans, which was great.

It was my first time in NOLA and it was a great place to spend New Years Eve.

Though it was hard not to pass out before midnight, I made it!

Baby Holm Expected June 2015!

Graduation Day Has Finally Come.. and Gone

A little over a week ago Two weeks ago I graduated from Western Washington University! I received my BA in Education with a special education major and yesterday I received my temporary K-8 teaching certificate in my inbox! It's crazy to see how far I have come and to finally be able to enjoy a summer without school! I'm not sure what will happen come fall but I am excited for my future and Nick and I are excited to finally live married life on similar schedules (without me going to night classes). 

 

 

 

 

Right now, I am spending my free time working on my photography, which I took a break from during student teaching, and starting my summer vacation with a road trip!
